Description

Fred Ray Action Comics #48 Story Page 4 Congo Bill Original Art (DC, 1942). Long before he met the Golden Gorilla, Congo Bill was a regular feature at DC Comics. This war-time tale pairs him with the Marines in the East Indies. The twice-up Golden Age page was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 18". The page is toned, with some slight handling on the edges and corner wear. The notation "Action 52" in the top margin is simply wrong, as it did indeed run in issue #48. In Very Good condition. From the Ethan Roberts Estate Collection.
