Description

Fred Ray Superman #11 Cover Re-Creation Original Art (c. 1990s). Ray, an essential contributor to the classic DC-hero style, re-creates one of his defining Superman covers from 1941. The design is modified to depict only the character, eliminating the logotype and the published cover-price and issue-number blurbs. Accurately rendered in ink and watercolor on illustration board with an image area of 12" x 16", matted to 18" x 22". Matting itself is loose, though intact. Watercolor tints appear faded, likely from exposure to ambient light. Signed by Ray in the bottom right image area. In Very Good condition.
