Description

Bob Kane Batman Daily Comic Strip #543 Original Art dated 7-24-45 (McClure Newspaper Syndicate, 1945). Batman and Robin save a distraught and seemingly suicidal beauty in this superb daily titled "Taking the Blame." Jerry Weist's The Comic Art Price Guide notes that Batman dailies from the early forties are scarce. The inking on this episode is very attractive and may be the work of DC mainstay, Charles Paris. Fantastic early Batman action in the hallmark Bob Kane style make this a very special piece. The image area measures approximately 21" x 6.25". The art is in Very Good condition, and the Craftint benday dot pattern is still vivid.
