Bob Kane Batman Daily Comic Strip #542 Original Art dated 7-23-45 (McClure Newspaper Syndicate, 1945). Glamour girl Gloria King has apparently gone gun-crazy in this Dynamic Duo daily from 1945. Showcased in their famous crime-fighting togs, this is a prime piece of Batman strip art by creator Bob Kane, with the bold inks most likely supplied by Charles Paris. Written in blue pencil at the top margin of the artboard is the title of the day's episode, "Determined Tootsie," and the strip is numbered in pencil "III-rd Week -- 1". Precious little Golden Age Batman art has survived, making this piece quite a prize for any Dark Knight devotee. With an image area measuring approximately 21" x 6.25", despite some light discoloration of the Craftint board and some tack-holes in the margin corners, the art is in Very Good condition.More information about Bob Kane.
