Captain America Comics #13 (Timely, 1942) CGC VF/NM 9.0 Off-white to white pages. This minty fresh copy of the classic World War II Captain America comic looks better than ever with bright colors and a stunning central image area. Less than six months after the attack on Pearl Harbor, Timely released this "Remember Pearl Harbor" issue offering a perfect example of the patriotic power of Captain America. Al Avison's classic cover combines multiple beloved elements of wartime Golden Age comics, showcasing Cap and Bucky looming large over battles on land, air, and sea, complete with American and Japanese flags.Avison provides art for multiple Captain America stories, with Don Rico illustrating the origin of the Secret Stamp. The issue also features early writing by Stan Lee, and an anti-Nazi story featuring the Headline Hunter. This book rarely comes up for sale in such nice shape -- we last offered the CGC 9.0 San Francisco Pedigree copy in 2016 for $33,460 and recently offered a CGC 9.4 example for a whopping $84,000!
