Description
Captain America Comics #13 (Timely, 1942) CGC FN- 5.5 Off-white to white pages. The prolific Al Avison doesn't get the same props as the more famous Timely artists such as Alex Schomburg, Joe Simon, Jack Kirby, and Bill Everett, but Overstreet chose to recognize Al's efforts on this Golden Age cover by deeming it a "classic." Inside, the origin of the Secret Stamp is featured in this "Remember Pearl Harbor" issue. Avison and Don Rico contributed interior artwork to the book. Nice page quality on this copy. Overstreet 2013 FN 6.0 value = $2,028. CGC census 5/14: 1 in 5.5, 19 higher.CGC Grader Notes:
