Journey Into Mystery #83 (Marvel, 1962) CGC VF/NM 9.0 Off-white to white pages. A superb copy of the issue that presented the origin and first appearance of the Norse God of Thunder, Thor. The early version of the character wasn't nearly as polished as the later version, i.e. his noble manner of speaking was not yet fully developed, but his origin story did not suffer as it was conceived and drawn by the classic team of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the prime architects of the Marvel Age. Steve Ditko and Don Heck provided art for backup features in this issue that's currently the #6 book on Overstreet's list of Top 50 Silver Age Comics.
