Fred Ray Action Comics Congo Bill Splash Page 1 Original Art (DC, c. 1940s). Original DC splash page art of this vintage is very rare. Fred Ray, perhaps most celebrated for his work on the Superman covers of Action Comics was one of the finest artists of his day, and here is a chance to win an affordable example of his early work. Note that the Ray character covers from this era that we've auctioned have hammered at $50,000 -195,000. This glorious Golden Age Congo Bill splash from an unidentified issue of Action Comics has an image area of 13" x 18", and aside from some aging to the illustration board, is in Very Good condition.More information about Fred Ray.
