    Description

Steven Chorney Sid Meier's Pirates Video Game Box Cover Concept Painting Original Art (Atari, 2004). While Sid Meier is well-known for his smash-hit series, Civilization, his game, Pirates!, was also a multi-platform hit. This concept preliminary cover design was ultimately not used, but it sure gets the feel of the game across to the viewer. It was created in mixed media on illustration board with an image area of 11.5" x 15.25". The logo and swinging Pirate are created from paste-up stats that have ink and color embellishments on them. Signed in the lower right. In Excellent condition.
