Sonic CD Version 0.51 6/21/1993 (Sega CD, Sega, 1993) Wata Certified Prototype. Third chronologically in a series of eight prototypes for Sonic CD for the Sega CD system within this auction. These particular prototypes have never been available to collectors until now. Version 0.51 received on June 21st, 1993 by Sega UK from Sega of Japan. This version was produced for alpha testing purposes. Prototypes that feature company mascot characters are difficult to come by, and it's almost unheard of to see a chronological series of protoypes that are available for a singular game's development at one time. Directed by Sonic creator Naoto Oshima and featured the first appearances of Amy Rose and Metal Sonic. From Sega European Product Manager, Tony Takoushi.
