Atomic Runner - CGC 9.2 A+ Sealed, Genesis Data East 1992 USA. This is our third time offering Atomic Runner at Heritage Auctions. CIB copies of this title are already difficult to find, so sealed examples like this one draw attention when they surface, and publicly available population reports show graded copies in the single digits. The game is a port of the 1988 Data East arcade title Atomic Runner Chelnov, whose premise sparked controversy at the time, as many assumed it was associated with Chernobyl, though Data East maintained the name was unrelated, ultimately leading the company to revise the storyline for this release. It is a fast-paced, finely programmed, highly challenging platform shooter that auto-scrolls to the right. There is subtle fading on the left spine, a price sticker on the front cover, and two tiny seal tears on the bottom spine. CGC notes, "Fading on case insert."Ippy's Sea Girt Collection
