Thunder Force V - Wata 9.4 A Sealed, PS1 Working Designs 1998 USA. This copy of Thunder Force V: Perfect System for the PlayStation is a treasure for shooter fans as no copies are graded numerically higher on Wata's March 2024 population report out of just eight total. Adapted from the Sega Saturn game, which was simply called Thunder Force V, it uses polygonal graphics (in addition to sprites), unlike previous titles in the popular series. The side-scrolling action is presented from a 2.5 perspective, similar to the cult classic Einhander. Once again, the player is equipped with a special CRAW weapon that unleashes extra firepower and absorbs enemy shots. Compared to the Saturn game, the PlayStation version features extra levels, a Time Attack mode, and CG-rendered movie sequences.View the certification for PSA Certification ID 590488-008, including grader's notes if available.
