Chrono Trigger - CGC 9.6 A+ Sealed [Ultimate Hits], PS1 Square Enix 2006 JPN. This is our first time offering the Ultimate Hits release of Chrono Trigger at Heritage Auctions. This iconic RPG is an enhanced port of the Super Nintendo classic and the first entry in the Chrono series. Released ahead of Chrono Cross, this port exclusively included anime cutscenes by Toriyama and featured several unlockable bonus elements after completion. Created by the "dream team" of Hironobu Sakaguchi, Yuji Horii, and Akira Toriyama, the game was a critical and commercial hit, often considered one of the greatest video games ever made, which is why it makes perfect sense for it to achieve an Ultimate Hits release. It broke the JRPG mold by featuring enemies visible on field maps, avoiding typical random encounters.
