Wata's September 2025 census reveals that just three copies of the original release of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night are graded higher than this nicely preserved example. Widely credited with reshaping the Castlevania franchise and helping establish the Metroidvania genre, this 2D masterpiece broke convention with its non-linear design, RPG depth, and unforgettable soundtrack. It was also the first Castlevania title to star Alucard as the main protagonist.
