Description
Biohazard - VGA 80+ NM Sealed, PS1 Capcom 1996 JPN. Biohazard is one of the defining titles of the survival horror genre, but there are only 12 unopened copies on VGA's November census. Known as Resident Evil outside Japan, Capcom's groundbreaking hit combined cinematic storytelling, puzzle-solving, and nerve-wracking tension in a way no console game had before. Directed by Shinji Mikami and produced by Tokuro Fujiwara, the game followed members of the elite S.T.A.R.S. team as they uncovered the terrifying secrets of the Umbrella Corporation within a sprawling mansion filled with zombies and bioengineered monsters. Its fixed camera angles, limited resources, and eerie pre-rendered backgrounds became genre hallmarks that influenced a generation of developers. The success of Biohazard not only launched one of Capcom's flagship franchises but also paved the way for later classics such as Dino Crisis, Silent Hill, and Devil May Cry.
