Doom - VGA 80 NM Qualified [Shareware Version, 3 1/2-Inch Disk, Zoom Software], PC ID Software 1993 USA. This Zoom edition of Doom for PC is a fascinating and seldom-seen variant, representing an important moment in the game's transition from mail-order shareware hit to mainstream retail phenomenon. Certified as complete and unused, it is the only copy of this variant on VGA's February census. Distributed by Zoom Software under license from id Software, this release maintained the original game content but featured the distinct Zoom logo on the back. As the groundbreaking first-person shooter that defined a genre and ignited a cultural revolution in PC gaming, Doom is one of the most important video games ever published.
