Zelda II: The Adventure of Link - Wata 8.0 A Sealed [Oval SOQ TM, @1988, Early Production], NES Nintendo 1988 USA. Wata lists just 19 copies of this variant of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, a small number for such a popular title. The ambitious follow-up to the original Legend of Zelda, this sequel broke new ground by shifting to a side-scrolling format for combat while introducing such RPG-inspired elements as experience points, leveling, and magic spells-features that set it apart from other entries in the franchise. Initially divisive among fans, the game has since gained a dedicated following and is recognized as a bold experiment within Nintendo's 8-bit library. The box has some minor corner and edge wear, as well as a quarter-inch crease on the left edge near the bottom, but it looks very nice for its grade.View the certification for Wata Certification ID 575603-003, including grader's notes if available.
