    Description

Wild Gunman - Wata 9.4 A Sealed [Hangtab, 2 Code, Mid-Production], NES Nintendo 1985 USA. This is the highest-graded copy of Wild Gunman that we have ever offered with a cardboard hangtab. While there are several different variations of the cardboard hangtab variant, this copy is what is commonly referred to as the "2 Code" variant because it has the NES-GP code and the game code on the back-top-left corner of the box, but no NES TM. It also has a "Rockaway Sales" sticker on it, indicating that it came from the new old stock from a specific retailer that shut down. A selection of games from this store appears in our auctions, so be sure to keep an eye out for the sticker! Wild Gunman is one of the first titles in the Light Gun series which utilized the NES Zapper controller. More recently, the gunmen appeared in the Super Smash Bros. series to aid the Duck Hunt character in an attack, and it was rereleased on the Wii U's Virtual Console in honor of Back to the Future Day.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
