    Description

First Sealed Cardboard Hangtab Copy Offered

Trojan - Wata 7.0 B+ Sealed [Hangtab, Early Production], NES Capcom 1987 USA. Another sealed third-party hangtab first in this auction! In the earliest days of the Nintendo Entertainment System's lifespan, Nintendo only allowed third-party publishers to release a maximum of five games per year for the NES. Their thought process behind this guideline was to avoid another potential Video Game Crash of 1983 situation. Third-party publishers in the early days were few and far between, but Capcom was one of the earliest companies to produce games for the console. Capcom only released six games for the NES between 1986 and 1987, and the hangtab was omitted by late 1987. Considering this is one of the 1987 titles, it can be assumed that hangtab copies of this game have a notably low surviving sealed population.
