Description
Super Mario USA - VGA 85+ NM+ Unopened, Famicom Nintendo 1992 JPN. When Super Mario Bros. 2 hit the U.S. in 1988, it was actually a reworked version of Yume Kojo: Doki Doki Panic. A few years later, this Americanized version returned to Japan as Super Mario USA on the Famicom, introducing Japanese players to mechanics like character-specific abilities (such as Luigi's higher jump and Peach's hovering skill). Additionally, Super Mario USA was one of the few games in the franchise where Mario didn't defeat enemies by jumping on them but instead by picking them up and throwing them. While we've handled countless copies of Super Mario Bros. 2, this is only our third time offering the elusive Famicom edition. Its striking pink box truly stands out, with a nod to the U.S. flag on the back.Auction Info
