[Box: 9.0; Manual: 9.4; Cart: 9.8; Overall: 9.4] There are 364 CIB copies of Super Mario Bros. across all variants on Wata's December 2022 pop report, but only two examples are graded higher than this one. When most people opened a copy of Super Mario Bros. back in the day, they typically played the heck out of it, and oftentimes the manual and box were heavily worn or discarded altogether. That makes this beautifully preserved copy all the more impressive! Super Mario Bros. ensured the success of the NES in America, paved the way for the side-scrolling platformer craze of the late '80s and early '90s, and is one of the most iconic video games of all time.
