Super Mario Bros. - PSA 8.5 CIB IMP [Hangtab, 2 Code, Mid-Production], NES Nintendo 1985 USA. [Box: 8.5; Cart: 9.6; Manual: 7.5; Overall: 8.5] One of the most recognizable video games ever released, Super Mario Bros. played a pivotal role in reviving the North American home console market after the 1983 crash. This legendary side-scroller defined the platforming genre and set the standard for countless mascots and titles that followed. This is a hangtab copy, a variant manufactured before Nintendo later switched to non-hangtab boxes. Speaking of hangtab, there's a plastic hangtab that was applied directly to the back of the box. Condition-wise, it shows typical corner wear and a small bit of wear on the top front edge, but it remains an appealing example of an iconic and increasingly difficult-to-find print. PSA notes, "Writing in manual; Manual Non-matching component (IMP, No Year)."
