The game itself is a landmark title in the medium, often hailed as one of the greatest video games ever made. A brilliant follow-up to Super Mario Bros. 2, it introduced overworld maps, the mischievous Koopa Kids, and memorable new power-ups like the Super Leaf, which let Mario take flight for the first time.
