Super Mario Bros. 2 - Wata 9.0 A Sealed [Rev-A, Round SOQ], NES Nintendo 1988 USA. This copy is sure to be a sight for sore eyes for many! It's been close to one year since we've offered an early production copy of this game with a grade of Wata 9.0 or better. For those who have joined us more recently, NES games released in the US before early 1989 had a round Nintendo seal of quality logo before Nintendo changed it to an oval shape. Popular games typically had longer production runs, and the packaging was updated to keep up with Nintendo's current practices. In short, the shape of the Nintendo seal of quality is a simple indicator of when this copy was produced. Recently a Wata 8.0 A+ copy of the same variant sold for an all-in price of $9,600 in our January Signature Auction, so we can imagine this will ignite a fierce competition amongst bidders.
