[Box: 8.5; Manual: 9.0; Cart: 9.2; Overall: 9.0] This is the highest graded CIB copy of this variant on Wata's March 2023 pop report out of just four total. Adapted from Nintendo's own 1982 coin-op classic, the game is a fantastic port that puts players in the role of the celebrated sailor, climbing ladders, catching hearts and other items released by Olive Oyl, eating spinach, and punching out Brutus, the Sea Hag, and the buzzard Bernard. The lovable little Swee'Pea even makes an appearance! Originally, Donkey Kong was going to be a Popeye game, but the rights weren't ironed out.
