Popeye - Wata 7.5 A Sealed [Hangtab, 2 Code, Mid-Production], NES Nintendo 1986 USA. There are zero copies of this rare variant on Wata's March 2023 population report. This version does not have TM on the box. Adapted from Nintendo's own 1982 coin-op classic, the game is a fantastic port that puts players in the role of the celebrated sailor, climbing ladders, catching hearts and other items released by Olive Oyl, eating spinach, and punching out Brutus, the Sea Hag, and the buzzard Bernard. The lovable little Swee'Pea even makes an appearance! Originally, Donkey Kong was going to be a Popeye game, but the rights weren't ironed out. Luckily, the situation was resolved, and this game followed a couple of years later. The box has some corner and edge wear but certainly nothing significant. There's a 1.5-inch wrinkle on the right side of the front cover near the bottom. The game displays extremely well for a 7.5 copy.PSA Population Report
