Popeye - CGC 9.4 CIB [Hangtab, 1 Code, Mid-Production], NES
Nintendo 1986 USA. [Box: 9.0; Cart: 9.6; Manual: 9.6; Overall:
9.4] Adapted from Nintendo's own 1982 coin-op classic, this black
box NES game is a fantastic port that puts players in the role of
the celebrated sailor, climbing ladders, catching hearts and other
items released by Olive Oyl, eating spinach, and punching out
Brutus, the Sea Hag, and the buzzard Bernard. The lovable little
Swee'Pea even makes an appearance! Originally, Donkey Kong
was going to be a Popeye-licensed game, but the rights weren't
ironed out. Luckily, the situation was resolved, and this game
followed. The box has gently loved corners and a little light edge
wear in a couple of spots, but it looks great overall. Edited on
