Pokémon Red Version - CGC 9.9 A++ Sealed [Sandshrew, First
Production], Game Boy Nintendo 1998 USA. Out of the dozens of
sealed Pokemon Red games we've had the pleasure of auctioning over
the years, this is the one copy to stand above them all. Boasting
an eye-popping grade, this stunning example is the highest-graded
copy of Pokemon Red ever offered at public auction. As many
collectors would attest, breaking past that 9.8 A++ is no easy
feat, but this one managed to rise above that extremely high bar.
Even more satisfying is this is a proven, first-production copy,
identifiable by the Sandshrew screenshot on the back of the box,
which was later changed to Rattata before the ESRB logo was amended
to the solid black design. Released alongside Pokémon Blue
as the franchise's first international titles, this game launched
the Pokémon phenomenon worldwide and laid the foundation for the
highest-grossing multimedia franchise of all time. The front cover
