Description
Pokémon Blue Version - CGC 9.6 A++ Sealed [Sandshrew, "Blue" text, Second Production], Game Boy Nintendo 1998 USA. This is a second production copy of Pokémon Blue Version, distinguished by the Sandshrew screenshot on the reverse and the corrected back-cover text, which fixes the well-known "Red" misprint to properly read "Blue." Released alongside Pokémon Red, it was a groundbreaking title that introduced millions of players to the thrilling world of catching, training, and battling Pokémon. While the original Japanese releases were Pocket Monsters: Red (Aka) and Green (Midori), the international Pokémon Red and Blue versions were largely based on the enhanced Japanese Pocket Monsters: Blue (Ao). The two versions were built around the innovative idea of trading: certain Pokémon could only be found in one version, encouraging players to connect with friends to complete their Pokédex. One of the most important games of the 1990s, Blue helped launch what would become the highest-grossing media franchise in history. The box has a light quarter-inch crease on the top right front, but it's in excellent condition overall.
