Paperboy - Wata 9.6 A++ Sealed [Oval SOQ TM, Later Production], NES Mindscape 1988 USA. This copy of Paperboy has the highest grade of any of the 24 examples of this Oval SOQ TM variant on Wata's September 2025 population report. As a matter of fact, it tops all the examples between both variants. The first NES title developed in the United States, Paperboy is a an adaptation of Atari's 1985 arcade classic, which was unique for its handlebar-style controller that let players steer their bike through a chaotic suburban neighborhood. As the paperboy, players had to toss newspapers onto doorsteps while avoiding such hazards as runaway tires, break dancers, and out-of-control lawnmowers. The game's popularity led to versions on nearly every major home computer and console of the era.
