Description
NTF2 Test Cartridge - CGC 9.4 Cart [Grey], NES Nintendo 1990 USA. This Nintendo NTF2 Test Cartridge was used in Nintendo World Class Service Centers as part of the official diagnostic setup for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It features a monochrome label showing Mario holding a testing probe, symbolizing its use with the NTF-2 diagnostic station. These cartridges were never sold to the public and were designed to test NES hardware functions, including controller input, video and audio output, and system stability. A rare and historically significant service tool, it offers a fascinating glimpse into Nintendo's behind-the-scenes repair and quality assurance operations during the NES era. This copy is in excellent condition and has a much higher grade than the only other example we've sold.
