Nintendo Entertainment System NES Classic Edition Mini Console - VGA 95 Mint Sealed, NES Nintendo 2016 USA. When the mini plug-and-play version of the NES hit stores in 2016, they disappeared from shelves almost immediately as the console was very popular with gamers, nostalgia enthusiasts, and families with young kids. Restocks of the unit sold out quickly as well, and today it is hard to find. It seemed like everyone wanted to return to the 8-bit era and play such classics as Super Mario Bros. 1-3, Final Fantasy, Donkey Kong, Castlevania 1-2, Mega Man 1-2, The Legend of Zelda, and Ninja Gaiden.
