[Box: 8.5; Cart: 8.5; Manual: 8.0; Overall: 8.5] Hangtabs were part of the first production of NES games but were discontinued in 1987, making this part of the final run of perforated hangtab boxes. This is especially exciting for such an iconic NES title. Metroid's claim to fame is due to its stellar nonlinear gameplay and its distinction as the first Nintendo game to feature a female protagonist-Samus Aran! Back in the day, the surprise reveal of Samus as a female was quite a revelation, becoming a meme and an important part of video game history. The box shows light corner and edge wear, with a tiny nick on the top edge of the front cover, a 1" crease near the top right corner, a 1.75" crease along the left edge, and a subtle 0.75" crease on the back cover.View the certification for CGC Certification ID 1018468002, including grader's notes if available..*
