Mega Man V - Wata 9.4 CIB, Game Boy Capcom 1994 USA. [Box: 9.4; Manual: 9.2; Cart: 9.2; Overall: 9.4] This is the first time we've had the privilege of offering Mega Man V at Heritage Auctions, and this copy is tied with one other for the highest-graded CIB example on Wata's August 2024 population report, with only six listed. The game is the fifth installment of the Mega Man series for the Game Boy. Unlike previous entries, Mega Man V featured entirely original bosses known as the Stardroids, rather than reusing bosses from the NES series. Players controlled Mega Man as he defended Earth from these powerful robots from outer space in an action-packed, non-linear platformer. The game introduced the Mega Arm as Mega Man's default weapon, as well as Tango, a support character. Praised for its ambition and innovation, Mega Man V received a positive critical reception, with Game Informer naming it the 11th best Game Boy game.
