    Overall Grade: Wata 7.0

This is the second game in the Double Dragon series for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It has the same title as the 1988 arcade sequel to the first Double Dragon game. Even though it used the same promotional artwork for the packaging, the two versions of the game have notable differences.

The NES version was directed by Hiroyuki Sekimoto, co-director of River City Ransom, and the arcade version's director took a more supervisory role in the development of the home console version. The plot twist in the NES version of the first game in the series is disregarded, and the main antagonist is different from that of the arcade version. Double Dragon II: The Revenge was wildly popular, and appeared on the Top 30 list for Nintendo Power magazine numerous times.
