Donkey Kong - VGA 90+ NM+/MT Unopened [Silver Box, Barcode & FF Logo, Later Production], Famicom Nintendo 1983 JPN. This is tied with one other for the best copy of this Donkey Kong variant on VGA's April census out of four, and it's our first time offering any Famicom version of the classic platformer. The game adapted the 1981 arcade smash hit, challenging players to guide Mario through perilous obstacles to rescue Pauline from Donkey Kong. While the Cement Factory stage was omitted, the port retained the core arcade experience that helped establish Mario and the title character as gaming icons. Uncovering an unopened Japanese copy of such an iconic game-especially in this condition-is a rare and unforgettable moment for collectors.Auction Info
