Donkey Kong - VGA 85+ NM+ Qualified [Hangtab, 2 Code, Mid-Production], NES Nintendo 1986 USA. During the 8-bit era, it was essentially the norm for gamers to discard the boxes of video games, making complete-in-box NES games a rare find today. To that point, there are only two qualified hangtab copies on VGA's debut population report, with none graded higher. This copy of Donkey Kong for the NES is meticulously preserved, and the hangtab remains intact. The game introduced the world to Mario (originally known as Jumpman), Princess Peach (initially called Pauline), and Donkey Kong himself. The black box titles serve as a nostalgic reminder of the NES's formative days and its pivotal role in revitalizing the video game industry in the mid-1980s.
