Donkey Kong 3 - CGC 9.4 CIB [Gloss Sticker, First Production], NES Nintendo 1986 USA. [Box: 9.0; Cart: 9.6; Manual: 9.8; Overall: 9.4] This is an outstanding copy of Donkey Kong 3. A first-production release, identified by its scarce gloss sticker, it carries added importance as an early NES title starring one of Nintendo's flagship characters. The manual boasts an unusually high grade, while the box presents nicely, showing only light corner wear and a subtle half-inch crease on the back upper right. Unlike its predecessors, this installment departed from the climbing formula in favor of a Galaga-like shooter design, adapted from Nintendo's 1983 arcade game. As a desirable black box release-and with sealed gloss sticker examples rarely seen-this CIB copy stands out as something truly special.
