Balloon Fight - Wata 9.0 CIB [Hangtab, 2 Code, Mid-Production], NES Nintendo 1986 USA. [Box: 8.5; Manual: 9.2; Cart: 9.4; Overall: 9.0] This is tied with one other example for the highest graded CIB copy of this variant on Wata's December 2023 pop report. Balloon Fight plays a lot like the arcade classic Joust, but it has enough differences to make it a quintessential and super fun game in its own right. It is a port of the 1984 Nintendo coin-op title, Vs. Balloon Fight. The game is featured on the Nintendo Switch Online streaming service, as well as the NES Classic Edition console, so modern audiences have had the opportunity to enjoy it. The box has some light corner wear and a small scrape on the hangtab. Wata notes, "Matching components."
