    Description

Final Fantasy - Wata 9.4 A+ Sealed [Oval SOQ R], NES Nintendo 1990 USA. You can bet that bidders will be watching this beautifully preserved lot closely as we sold a Wata 9.4 A+ copy of the game back in July for more than $20,000 all-in. Since the market for RPGs as well as high-grade NES games is strong, this lot could easily meet or beat that lofty mark. As with Dragon Warrior, Final Fantasy was for many in the U.S. their first taste of playing a JRPG (Japanese Role-Playing Game) on a home console (or anywhere else, for that matter). This is the first installment (of many) in the quintessential Final Fantasy series, but it was intended to be the last game created by the developer, hence the title. The success of this one was just too great, and it ended up saving Square from bankruptcy.
Wata notes, "Factory sealed, box opened at factory prior to sealing."
