The Incredible Hulk #1 (Marvel, 1962) CGC FN/VF 7.0 White pages. It's highly unlikely to usurp Amazing Fantasy #15 as the most valuable Silver Age comic book, but this premiere issue seems to be firmly entrenched in the #2 position on Overstreet's Top 50 Silver Age Comics list. And why not? Over the years, the Hulk has proven more popular than any other Marvel character not named Spider-Man! Jack Kirby's cover is one of his best, and the issue has the origin and first appearance of not only the Hulk, but the first appearances of Rick Jones, Betty Ross, and Thunderbolt Ross as well. CGC has certified over 1,250 copies to date, and only about 5% of those have earned a higher grade than this offering, which sports the added bonus of white pages! Overstreet 2015 FN 6.0 value = $10,500; VF 8.0 value = $38,500. CGC census 3/16: 32 in 7.0, 60 higher. From the Long Beach Collection.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
