    The Avengers #9 Signature Series - Stan Lee (Marvel, 1964) CGC NM+ 9.6 Off-white pages. A stunning high-grade copy signed by the man himself. This issue contains the first appearance, partial origin, and "death" of Wonder Man -- who would resurface years later and become a recurring member of the the team. The cover is by Jack Kirby, with interior art by Don Heck. The story features Captain America, Giant-Man, Iron Man, Thor, and the Wasp against the Masters of Evil (Baron Zemo, the Enchantress, and Skurge the Executioner). CGC notes, "Signed by Stan Lee on 11/23/13." Overstreet 2018 NM- 9.2 value = $1,550. CGC census for Universal grades 9/18: 5 in 9.6, 1 higher; for Signature Series 9/18: 1 in 9.6, none higher.
