    Description

The Avengers #4 (Marvel, 1964) CGC NM+ 9.6 Off-white pages. Captain America is brought back to life after being frozen in a block of ice for 20 years and is summarily inducted into the Avengers for his first Silver Age appearance, in this very issue. The Sub-Mariner also makes an appearance in this Silver Age super-key. The cover and art are courtesy of Jack Kirby. This is only the third 9.6 copy we've had the chance to offer, one of those being the Pacific Coast copy, and although we've heard they exist, we've never even seen a 9.8! Overstreet 2013 NM- 9.2 value = $6,200. CGC census 7/13: 13 in 9.6, 3 higher. From the Dennis Anastasis Collection.

View the certification for CGC Certification ID 69025001 and purchase grader's notes if available.
