    Description

The Amazing Spider-Man #4 (Marvel, 1963) CGC VF+ 8.5 Cream to off-white pages. As we finished up this catalog we hadn't yet received confirmation, but rumor has it that the Sandman is going to be the featured villain in the third Spider-Man movie! If that's true, look for a surge of interest in this book, the character's first appearance. This issue also has the first appearances of supporting characters Betty Brant and Liz Allen, both of whom would be love interests for Peter Parker. Steve Ditko supplied his usual superb art inside as well as on the cover. Overstreet 2005 VF 8.0 value = $1,663; VF/NM 9.0 value = $2,732. CGC census 6/05: 16 in 8.5, 34 higher. From the collection of Joe and Nadia Mannarino.
