    Description

The Amazing Spider-Man #1 Stan Lee File Copy (Marvel, 1963) CGC VG/FN 5.0 Off-white to white pages. Signature Series. Stan Lee has signed this key book above and below the logo. The second appearance of Spider-Man and the first appearance of J. Jonah Jameson and the Chameleon, this classic book by Stan Lee, Steve Ditko and Jack Kirby is also the first crossover of the Fantastic Four. Obviously one of Stan's favorite books, this is an example of the rare instance where he saved more than one copy. The second, and final, copy of this title, in a lower grade, will be offered in a future sale. Overstreet 2002 GD 2.0 value = $800; FN 6.0 value = $2,400.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
