The Amazing Spider-Man #1 (Marvel, 1963) CGC NM- 9.2 Off-white to white pages. A head-turning copy with razor-sharp edges and corners, and rich cover colors. This iconic book is currently #7 on Overstreet's list of Top 50 Silver Age Comics, and likely to rise even higher given the Wall-Crawler's continuing rise in global popularity. Copies are relatively plentiful in low and mid grades, but this is one of only a half-dozen Universal grade copies with a grade of NM- 9.2 to come our way in the past four years. This memorable book features a retelling of Spider-Man's origin, the Fantastic Four's first crossover appearances, and the introduction of supporting players J. Jonah Jameson, John Jameson, and the Chameleon. The cover is by Steve Ditko and Jack Kirby, with story art by Ditko. Overstreet 2021 NM- 9.2 value = $88,000. CGC census 11/21: 8 in 9.2, 16 higher.
