    The Amazing Spider-Man #1 (Marvel, 1963) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Cream to off-white pages. Ranked #5 in value on Overstreet's Top 20 Silver Age Comics list, the issue doesn't show up in high grade as often as you might expect. Over the past year we've offered just three copies in higher grade! After the one-shot tryout in Amazing Fantasy #15 six months earlier, Spidey gets his own title and full star treatment in the premiere issue with Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko teaming up for the iconic cover. Ditko provided the interior artwork for the issue, which features a retelling of Spider-Man's origin, an encounter with the Fantastic Four (their first crossover appearance), and the first appearances of John Jameson, J. Jonah Jameson, and the Chameleon. Our consignor is only parting with this one to finance his daughter's college education, so make him and yourself happy by bidding aggressively! Overstreet 2014 FN 6.0 value = $5,325; VF 8.0 value = $14,200. CGC census 8/14: 69 in 7.0, 141 higher.
