    Description

Tales to Astonish #27 (Marvel, 1962) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Off-white to white pages. Featured is the first appearance of Henry Pym, who would officially show up in costume as Ant-Man eight issues later. This issue is #12 on Overstreet's Top 20 Silver Age Comics list, and is one of the most difficult Silver Age Marvel keys to find in high grade. The cover and art are by Jack Kirby, with backup features by Steve Ditko and Don Heck. The character is scheduled to make his feature film debut next summer, which might just lift him out of relative obscurity. Overstreet 2014 FN 6.0 value = $2,450; VF 8.0 value = $8,000. CGC census 8/14: 20 in 7.0, 47 higher. From the Down Under Collection.
