The Silver Surfer #1 (Marvel, 1968) CBCS NM/MT 9.8 Off-white to white pages. A near-perfect copy of one of Marvel's most memorable debut issues of the late 1960s. The Surfer achieved instant cult status when he first appeared in Fantastic Four #48 in 1966, and a series of return appearances made his own series pretty much inevitable. An expanded origin is featured in the issue, which boasts a cover and interior art considered by many to be some of John Buscema's best work. Overstreet 2017 NM- 9.2 value = $1,650.
