The first appearance of the Justice League of America makes this one of the most important Silver Age issues. It's currently ranked a lofty #5 on Overstreet's Top 50 Silver Age Comics list, and it's second only to Showcase #4 among Silver Age DCs. This is a marvelous copy from the Shasta Lake Collection that really shows off the Mike Sekowsky/Murphy Anderson cover. The same pair corroborated on the interior art. Along with the JLA, the menacing Starro and the hepcat Snapper Carr are also introduced in this issue. Overstreet 2019 VF 8.0 value = $18,000; VF/NM 9.0 value = $54,000.
